Colorful Golf Balls
Ever heard of Ping golf balls? They are these brightly colored golf balls
that most would think as children’s golf balls. Characterized with one half of the golf ball having one color and the other half sporting
another color, this ball is really one of a kind. Created in the 1980’s where colors and more colors are a fad, these golf balls were designed
to be used by putters. In the beginning, there used to be only two colors used: yellow and orange.
Ever since it hit the stores, and since it has
not been made for 20 years, except now, the Ping golf balls have become a collector’s item especially when they are in mint condition. Other
than the usual and common orange and yellow color combo, there also appeared the orange and white color combo, the yellow and white color
combo, the dark pink and white color combo, aqua and white color combo and the lavender and white color combo.
It is not surprising that because of its
attractiveness, these colorful golf balls have more of a collectible than used by putters. The value of the collectible rests upon its color,
as to how rare the color combo is, and the ball’s condition, if it’s in perfect condition or has flaws. The less flaws, the higher the price.
When sold on eBay or in other websites that service collectors on the hunt of such items, these golf balls can fetch $100-$300 each. The Ping
golf ball that can have this value is usually the ball with golf or silver on one side another color, such as blue or violet, on the other
side.
