Dunlop Golf Balls: A Review

Dunlop has a vast collection of golf balls all with the durability, the affordability and the good performance that golfers look for in their purchases.  Out of the Dunlop golf balls, the Dunlop Loco Tour D is considered as the premium type of golf ball.

The Dunlop Loco Tour D is one of the types of Dunlop golf balls that are designed to be in the same status or even surpass the capabilities of the HX Tour and Pro V1 golf balls.  The Tour D golf ball has a 95 percent compression rate and is a three piece ball covered in extremely thin Utherane.  This thin cover helps in increasing the spin rate in the golf play.  The Dunlop Loco Tour D golf ball has a dimple pattern of 432 and produces a ball flight with more penetration and is a bit lower.

The Tour D’s performance is great because of the good distance it covers.   The Tour D is also one of the Dunlop golf balls that have an exceptional spin during short shots where the golfer feels in control more around the greens.  Its 95 percent compression rate is best used on drives and solid irons.  The 432 dimple pattern on the other hand ensures a good performance in the wind.

The only area for improvement is the Loco Tour D golf ball cover because it does come off after a number of holes and shots.  However this doesn’t have a negative effect on the golfer’s performance.

The Dunlop golf balls, most especially the Loco Tour D, can be described as excellent with a great feel and performance.  If you would want Dunlop golf balls with a premium quality and has an affordable price, go with the Loco Tour D golf ball which is priced at around $29 per dozen.
